Só mesmo quem pertence a um grupo que de há muito, muito tempo curte música popular brasileira vai se emocionar com esta formatação, cuja composição data de 1938.
Devo esclarecer que meu maior sentimento nesta música está ligado ao solo que fecha o arquivo com a arte de Jacob do Bandolim, mas trouxe também cantada – como ficou mais conhecida – na voz do não menos famoso Orlando Silva.
E por que não contar que bem mais pela saudade que faz doer de ouvi-la por meu avô e seu “Bando” de exímios músicos, nos jardins de nossa casa quando voltavam de alguma serenata especial na madrugada?

Only those who belong to a group that since long ago likes Brazilian music will be thrilled with this formatting, which composition dates back to 1938.
I must clarify that my greatest feeling in this song is related to the solo performance of Jacob do Bandolim, but I brought also the sung version - as it was known - in the voice of the famous Orlando Silva.
And why not tell that it is much by nostalgia that it hurts to hear this song after hearing my grandfather and his "band" of expert musicians, in the gardem of our house, when they were returning from some special serenade in the early hours?

idade – e, talvez por isto, é que muitas vezes me permito ser insanamente
arrebatada ao ouvir belas melodias ou emocionadas interpretações.
Não juro, mas creio poder afirmar que tenha sido essa mesma
pessoa quem me chamou a atenção para o arrojado de Wagner Tiso, bem assim o
delírio que é ouvir com a alma uma composição brasileira na voz incomparável de
ninguém menos que Milton Nascimento. E faz tempo... Foi Marcia Munari. Obrigada,
amiga.
Que todos os que ainda não ouviram este casamento de
talentos, desfrutem do deleite que trouxe para todos vocês.

There's always a first time and this one, today, is to
dedicate my new piece of work on the Brazilian cancionero to someome.
I have a long history with music - from my 7 years old - and, perhaps for this is that I often allow
myself to be insanely enraptured when listening to beautiful melodies or
heartfelt interpretations.
I can't swear, but I believe it was this same person who
called my attention to the boldness of Wagner Tiso, as well as to the delirium
from listening with the soul to a Brazilian composition in the incomparable
voice of none other than Milton Nascimento. A long time ago... and it was
Marcia Munari. Thank you, friend.
That all of you who couldn't listen to this wedding talents
may enjoy the treat brought to you.

Meus bons amigos,
Difícil traduzir em palavras a alegria que me dão com o
acolhimento praticamente incondicional aos meus trabalhos. Vim tentar retribuir
o carinho na forma que me vai na alma, ou seja, com a formatação de uma música
que sempre me foi emocionante, e que data da juventude daqueles que a viveram –
como eu – nos anos 60.
Não posso deixar de agradecer de público à Claudia que fez o
verdadeiro milagre de encontrar o que tanto procurei em vão – a gravação
original desta música, por Claudette Soares.
E então hoje, 23 de setembro, quando se inicia a nova
estação, venho trazer-lhes junto a toda emoção que esta música me causa, o
vídeo de “Primavera”.

It’s hard to translate in words the joy you grant me
unconditionally welcoming my works. I come to try retributing the affection in
the form it comes out of my soul, or, through the formatting of a song that has
been always exciting to me and that dates back from the youth of those who
lived it – like myself – in the 60's.
I can't help thanking Claudia that performed the true
miracle of finding what I so much had searched in vain – the original recording
of this song, with Claudette Soares.
And then, today, September 23, when the new season begins, I
come bringing you with all of the emotion this song causes me, the video
"Springtime".

hadn't caused immense anxiety about knowing how does that ex-love is living
nowadays, after we have been so close? Often unnoticed and silently the
question has appeared: - how are you?
Antonio Marcos and Mario Marcos composed a beautiful and
heartfelt song that makes a unison with the question that went unanswered to
those who asked: How are you?
I like it A lot and hope you may welcome the formatting I
made for it.

Amigos queridos,
Esta maravilhosa composição de letra e música nasceu em 1959
e, afora a gravação primeira de Sylvinha Telles - que não conheci - que me
lembre, ela fez parte tão somente de pot-pourris em shows de Maria Bethania.
Foi, de certo, no primeiro show em que a ouvi que me
apaixonei pelo poema de Vinícius ao som da melodia de Jobim - ouso afirmar que na
década de 60.
Elis gravou-a em 1974; Bethania e Caetano, em 1989.
Optei pelos irmãos, seguidos ainda da também magistral interpretação
de Baden Powell, um dos mais importantes músicos da história da música popular
brasileira.

This wonderful combination of music and lyrics was born in
1959 and, apart from the first recording by Sylvinha Telles - that I couldn't
know - I remember it only taking part in pot-pourris in the concerts of Maria
Bethania.
It was, probably, at the first time I heard her in a concert
that I fell in love with Vinicius' poem in the tune of Jobim - I dare say it
was in the 60's.
Elis recorded it in 1974; Bethania and Caetano, in 1989.
I chose the brothers, still followed by the also masterful
interpretation of Baden Powell, one of the most important musicians in the
history of Brazilian popular music.

Hello friends,
Rebelling against the counsel of a very dear friend who said
people of my age - hers, too - should simply... "look at the sea without
thinking about anything, or follow the flying of a bird from their
windows...", I decided that I can - and I want - do and allow myself to
dare the much it pleases me to do the formatting of a work of erotic nature.
Thus was born this CliPPS for the song "Seu Corpo"
("Your Body").
Always believing that I'll please some of you, and assuming
that I can be again criticized by others, my great affection for you all.

Amigos,
Alguns de vocês me censuram por formatar CliPPSs porque os consideram um trabalho que não se insere propriamente na categoria de cultural, enquanto
outros reiteram sempre que eu não pare
de divulgar nosso Cancioneiro.
Devo dizer – se é que ainda não disse – que tais arquivos me
trazem um prazer imenso em formatá-los, não só no empenho de buscar o
máximo de autenticidade na ilustração do que o compositor transmitiu em seus
versos, como também pelas emoções vivenciadas a cada audição de um novo intérprete,
tentando acertar o que mais irá agradar aos amigos não brasileiros.
Por favor, aceitem esta afirmação justamente com o
valor único com que a trouxe, qual seja a de justificar que já há público de 89 países na
página do Cancioneiro – mesmo antes de completar um ano.
Quero ainda destacar que graças ao Flavio e à Claudia tem sido
possível divulgar nossos lindos poemas musicais em idioma que a maioria dos
estrangeiros entende – seja o Inglês.

prestígio pessoal que possam emprestar a esta divulgação.

Friends,
Some of you reproach me for making the
formatting of CliPPSs because they consider them a work that can't fall
strictly into a cultural category, while others always reiterate that I
shouldn't stop the disclosing of our Cancionero.
I must say - if I haven't said yet - that such files bring
me a immense pleasure on formatting them, not only by the effort to get as much
authenticity of illustration of what the composer conveyed in his verses, but
also by the emotions experienced on each hearing of a new interpreter, trying
to hit what most will please non-Brazilian friends.
Please, accept this statement with the only piece of data I
bring, the one to justify there's already an audience from 89 countries to the
Cancionero website - even before it turned one year.
I would also point out that thanks to Flavio and Claudia it
has been possible to disclose our beautiful musical poems through a language
that most of foreigners can understand - English.
To all of you, special friends, my most thankful affection
for the personal prestige that you can grant to this kind of work.

As soon as completed the file about Finland, I decided to work on this love song, what made my friend Claudia declare herself shocked by my antagonism of just finishing to praise someone of the stature of Sibelius and immediately go for the honour of a popular composer whose work is not so representative as those by so many other of our Cancionero.
I must confess I not only adore two of his compositions but I became very happy with myself after the outcome of this tribute to the sensitivity of that poet-musician who was part of my generation and left us so early...
Though some of you don’t accept our “less erudite”music, I ask you to pay attention to melody and verses of the lyrics of this emotional song left to us with all of the ardor by Antonio Marcos, thus contributing to enrich the Brazilian Cancionero.

Não consegui encontrar na Net referência ao que me lembro de
ter lido à época da gravação – Bethânia exigiu que o pianista para esta faixa do álbum "As canções que você fez pra mim" – "Você" – deveria ser João Carlos Assis Brasil; ouvindo-a, fica claro porquê:

A friend of mine who I know only virtually - name's initial
letter is M - one of these days unreservedly commented the lyrics from one of
my CliPPSs referring to past loves.
This truth for me was contagious and, for her - and not
just, because... which man or which woman hasn't had a "you" in life?
- I formatted Erasmo Carlos and Roberto Carlos' sensitivity interpreted by Maria
Bethânia's emotion.
I couldn't find on the internet any reference to what I
remember having read at the time of the recording - Bethânia demanded that the
pianist for this track - "Você" ("You") - should be João
Carlos Assis Brasil; by listening to it, it's clear why.
The feeling of Bethânia, of Assis Brasil and of the other
musicians has been echoing here on the left side of the chest...

Demorei para lembrar de que na pré-adolescência tinha por modelo as irmãs mais velhas de minhas amigas que, sonhadoras, ouviam incessantemente Dick Farney.
Não havia moça que não suspirasse a cada nota cantada ou tocada por ele, fosse no rádio ou na "eletrola". Eu, ouvia, decorava, e tirava de ouvido as músicas no piano para, orgulhosa de ser solicitada pelas adultas, atender seus pedidos...
Foi lembrando disso que me ocorreu formatar uma delas...

It took me a long time to remember that, when pre-teen, I had my sister's older friends as models, and they, dreamers, used to repetedly listen to Dick Farney.
There wasn't a girl who would not sigh at each new note sung or played by him, wheter listening to the radio or a "vitrola". I listened to it, memorized and played the songs by ear on the piano in order to, full of pride, fulfill their requests...
Remembering this I decided to make the formatting of one of them...
